With a slightly changed team Holyhead entertained a youthfull Dollgellau team in a late Kick off as we were waiting for their Front row to arrive after being held up for speeding. The opening plays were equally shared with neither side showing much attacking flair.
The first score after 3 minutes was a penalty kicked by the opposition 10 who converted following an offence of holding on in the ruck.

There was not much to write about for the next 20 minutes or so as play was being maintained in the middle of the park with Holyhead being guilty of losing the ball in contact on virtually every attack, (including surprisingly Gary Owen) and the opposition kicking us back. However on 16m the Holyhead back division being within 10m from the line out were penalised the kick was successful to make the score 0-6.

Aaron(TC) was the occupant of one of the best ever "What happened next"moments, when he picked up the loose ball from a ruck and was shouted by Horse to "leave it", so guess what he did, yeah he promptly dropped it, instead of presenting the ball.

The next score on 26 mins, was a Matty Penalty following a good display of driving, rucking and mauling by the Holyhead pack who were eventually stopped by the opposition No 8 handling in the ruck. Score 3-6. The only other thing to note this half was when Liam went through and he had Rich outside and Aaron Eds inside but further back, with only the full back to beat, he made the wrong decision in trying to beat him on his own and again lost the ball in the tackle. Half time.

The second half saw Dolgellau attacking from their own 22 when a Holy attack broke down, they moved the ball out wide to their winger, who was missed by Rich, then he passed inside to the supporting Flanker (7) who scored under the posts. converted by 10 sccore 3-13.

More good pressure from the Home side led to yet more frustration for me and the watching supporters, with even more dropped ball, losing ball in contact and getting turned over in Rucks despite being in charge up front. The next score was conceeded when we were offside at a ruck Score 3 -16 on 58 mins.

This seemed to spur Holyhead on and after a series of moves to take the ball upfield, Hooker Assi was found approximately 3 metres from the line with no one to beat but himself, but still managed to fluff the oppertunity, to earn the honour or wining the "Twat of the Match" moment.

Following 3 inspired tactical substitutions, Loosehead prop Steve Owen scored a try on 76 mins following a quickly taken penaly when the opposition were offside at a ruck, the conversion was missed by Matt. We werent finished yet and again we moved upfield, and No 8 Owen scored his second try in 2 weeks following another quickly won ruck. The conversion was again missed. Final score 13-16

This weeks game was meant to be against Porthmadog, but as they have pulled out of the League, we will have 3 weeks off with Internationals being played for the following 2 weeks
