Is Pig really 40? I'm unsure but how do we really find out??
1. Check his birth certificate? (do farmers keep such records on their animals?)
2. Cut one of his trotters off and count the number of rings?
3. Slice a bit of crackling off his back and send it to a lab for Carbon Dating.
4. Slaughter him, throw him in a large pot and cook for a day or so. If he's all grissle and chewy then i'd have to agree he's a 40yr old pig, if he's lovely and tender then he's younger.
Anyone have any other ideas how to check??
